Meet Stool, the last piece to enter Nanban's East meets West collection: designed by Jasper Morrison and Wataru Kumano and hand-made by local artisans with sustainably harvested hinoki wood from Higashi-Shirakawa in Gifu, a durable and scented wood traditionally used in the construction of Japanese temples, Stool comes in two sizes and celebrates the 10th anniversary of a Japanese forest conservation organization More Trees, founded by musician Ryuichi Sakamoto to preserve and enhance Japanese forest.
Easily self-assembled, Stool is a wonderful new addition to East meets West, the project carried on by Nanban that aims to connect Eastern and Western traditions, creativity and ideas: discover the collection and all its surprising creations!
