Designed in the late 1990s by legendary designer Sori Yanagi drawing inspiration on the 900-year history of cast ironwork in the Tōhoku region of northern Japan, this Nambu Tekki (cast iron) grill pan features extra-thick cast iron for superior retention and quick distribution of heat, which translated into evenly-cooked, delicious dishes, while pyramid-shaped ridges on the pan’s surface catch grease and excess moisture.
The production of each grill pan involves between 64 and 68 different steps and the rims are curved to ensure that liquids can be poured freely.
Suited to stovetops, ovens, and IH cookers.
