Not just a simple towel, but a very soft blanket made of a unique textile, with a special texture and color depth, the Chambray gauze, a lightweight fabric woven with white threads across a colored warp.
Extra-large in size (220x135cm), it is made in Imabari, where all the best Japanese products of this kind come from, skillfully mixing 60% cotton and 40% wool, for an airy feeling to the touch.
The secret to its softness is in the manufacturing process. Each towel is made from fine, garment quality thread that’s loosely twisted for the highest level of softness. Such threads would break on modern weaving machines, thus they are gently woven on traditional, low-speed machines to maintain the integrity of the thread and achieve a level of softness that modern machines simply cannot produce anymore.
Finally, each towel is carefully washed with fresh spring water from the melted snow of Mt. Ishizuchi, ensuring every thread is free from impurities.
60% Cotton, 40% Wool.
Take it with you for nights at the beach, or use indoors during the brisk fall months: this thin but incredibly warm blanket is simply perfect for any season.
