Designed by young Japanese designer Hideo Kanbara, and welcomed for its special and clever shape by a Good Design Award and by being introduced into MoMa permanent design collection, this eraser has 28 corners that allows for very precise erasing. Nicknamed kadokeshi (カドケシ, corner poppy) it became immediately such a hit in Japan that a luna park train has been designed using its peculiar shape and it's become pretty popular amongst manga illustrators, who often needs a lot of precision erasing. A little funny must have. Rubber. To erase with precision, but also to dive into the unpredictable Japanese creativity, starting from an object as simple as it is surprising. 2 cm x 5 cm x 2 cm
