Designed in 1978 by Japanese porcelain maestro, Masahiro Mori, the Rock Cup represent another extraordinary achievement of his design, which perfectly blends technical wisdom, a unique aesthetic and a great functionality. The thinness and lightweight of the porcelain, together with its smoothness and gloss emphasises the beauty of this material and its unique form have made it another classic example of playful design.
Ideal for cold drinks, such as sake and whisky, because of its thin porcelain, it can also be used as a vase or a design object. The line boasts five different patterns, each with a different tactile feel in the hand.
Porcelain is a natural material that will patina and change over time, depending on its use, but firing at 1300ºC imparts it a hard surface with excellent resistance to chemicals, so it can be washed with regular detergents and it is dishwasher and microwave safe.
