A small plate, depicting a Daruma, the iconic Japanese representation of the founder of the Zen tradition of Buddhism, with a huge paint brush behind his shoulders. Made partially using a black ink stamp, which allowed to replicate on several plates the traits of the Daruma and then finished by hand for what concerned the orange brush tip, the subject is typically considered a talisman of good luck in Japanese culture, making this small plate a welcome gift as well as a wonderful lucky charm. Porcelain. 11 cm x 11 cm x 2 cm
