The obi (帯) is a typical Japanese belt, worn mainly with kimonos. This elegant roll of red fabric with two white bands, one of them with geometric motifs is, in all probability, the basis for the elaboration of a male Kaku obi (角帯). This roll is 2.24 meters long and 9.5 cm wide. An essential and valuable design, which can also be reworked to make placemats and runners.
