An original porcelain teacup of the Japanese army, part of the tableware in use between the Second World War and the early post-war years. It features a minimal aesthetic and the typical dark green two-striped motif that runs along the rim. As often happens for military materials, it can have a slightly imperfect finish compared to commercial production, with small glazing defects or small stains patches. On the other hand, it appears to be made to withstand greater stress than the average, without giving up a pinch of flirtatious and elegant simplicity.
