A handy bottle opener and a wonderful small item in itself, delightfully cast in brass: its shape is the one of a mikazuki (三日月), a crescent moon, which also represents the beginning of the enlightenment in zen buddhism. As essential as amazingly functional, it is made by an old foundry in Takaoka, founded in 1879, using the traditional ‘sand cast’ technique.
