Designed by renowned designer Makoto Komatsu in 1980 and part of the permanent collection of MoMA since its creation, this glass serie is one of Japanese eighties' most beloved icons.
Nicknamed "Crumple" for its shape, which recalls also an ice cube, this glass, hand-blown in a former light bulbs factory in the outskirts of Tokyo, later reconverted to sleek bottles and glasses production, is the ideal companion of every whisky on the rocks and, even more, to the famous Old-fashioned cocktail, to which it is dedicated. It holds 300cc.
As amazing to look at, as great to hold in your hands, this seems to come directly out a a scene from the movie Violent Cop by Takeshi Kitano, a movie that helped define the Japanese eighties pulp.
