A special, limited edition tenugui, exclusively designed for Nanban by the Italian artist and illustrator Olimpia Zagnoli for its East meets West series: using her own color palette, made of daring and original combinations, she outlines an optical landscape, with references both to the typical Italian landscape and to a hypothetical Japanese horizon, in a mixture precisely designed in order to allow anyone to identify and get lost in his folds.
Tenuguis are the traditional Japanese hand towels, cotton made: they are amazing jack of all trades and are often decorated, thanks to an amazing loom, where each pattern is printed by hand on a single tissue 30 meters long, then precisely cut in several pieces. The resulting cut isn't sewn on purpose, as after losing some threads, the process will stop and the tenugui will keep its shape naturally.
A tenugui has a thousand lives: it can be used in an easy way as a small light scarf, as well as a cloth, or hanging on a wall. An extraordinary and beautiful textile, which comes in handy on a thousand occasions.
An amazing and beautiful jack of all trades, that always comes in handy.
