After more than 150 years dedicated to the production of sake and shōchu, in 1996 the renowned Kiuchi Brewery, founded in 1823 in Kōnosu, in the ancient Hitachino region, decided to devote its expertise exclusively to brewing beer. This gave birth to some of Japan’s most acclaimed and renowned craft beers, including the award-winning White Ale, a Japanese blanche brewed with a high proportion of wheat malt and enriched with coriander, orange peel and nutmeg. Pale yellow in color, it offers fresh aromas of citrus and white flowers on the nose, with hints of peach and melon. On the palate it is refreshing and smooth, with a gentle bitterness, notes of orange and lemon, and a delicately sweet finish. A truly unique beer, blending Japanese tradition with Belgian style in perfect harmony, crafted with exceptional raw ingredients such as sake yeast and carefully selected fruits from the best growers of the archipelago. Alc. 5.5%, 330 ml.
