Furikake is simply the ingredient all Japanese jazz up their plain bowl of rice or their onigiri rice ball, just sprinkling it over rice and letting it enhance it with many delicious flavours, while, the the same time, adding useful nutrients.
Nihon Kaisui furikake is a great classic among all furikake and is characterized by an intense flavor of nori, the dried seaweed, to which white and black sesame seeds, soy and other ingredients are added.
Made with carefully selected ingredients, one teaspoon of the mixture is enough to transform a bowl of white rice, enhancing it with intense color and flavors, rich in sea-salt umami.
